Opened in 2003 by business partners Christopher Seckman and brothers, Walton and Whitney Jones, in a converted historic brick house at 1722 Frankfort Avenue, the North End Cafe has become a staple Louisville restaurant. At first, the café served only breakfast and lunch, but customers clamored for more. The partners soon expanded into the building next door and added a large bar and dining room. In 2012, a Highlands location was added, and now adjacent to the Highlands location, is the North End Slice, where North End’s creative, wholesome, healthy, made from scratch approach to cooking has expanded to New York Style Pizza!
Now in 2017, the North End Cafe has gained a reputation as one of Louisville’s premier restaurants, and it’s known as Louisville’s “Fine Diner.” Our menu highlights traditional American cuisine made with the freshest seasonal ingredients available, serving lunch, dinner and BREAKFAST ALL DAY! It’s a great spot for special occasions and holidays too, including Mother’s Day, Derby Brunch, or Oaks Brunch. When at all possible, we buy local produce, meat, and eggs. We feature a wide selection of vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, and organic menu options as well.
